I first bought a holiday suncatcher for a family member who travels often for easy, out-of-the-envelope decor. She loves it and the idea that she can enjoy it again and again at Christmastime. Then, being able to vouch for the aesthetics, durability, and protective packaging after the first order, I fell in love with various designs to send to family all over the country, including the wildflowers with butterfly ornament attached for my aunt and cousins who grew up in a town visited by yearly monarch migrations. Meanwhile, my mother is Azorean Portuguese from an island where hydrangeas grow wild. I can’t wait to see her open this gift that will reflect the sunlight and our warm memories of our grandfather’s home. I admit to sneaking a peek inside the large protective envelope ahead of gifting this to her, and I loved it so much that I ordered another for my uncle (my mom’s brother) to also have a beautiful reminder of our ancestral home.
