Mayflower Ship Pop-Up Card
A laser-cut illustration of the historic Mayflower ship sails toward Massachusetts on the front of this pop up card. Upon opening this design, an intricately cut Mayflower ship appears, its bright white masts catching the wind. Pilgrims wait on the deck of the ship, ready to see what the new world beholds. Plymouth Rock, in the corner of this design, highlights the Pilgrims' landing year of 1620.
Inspiration for the Mayflower Ship Card:
Our designer Hugo thought this design was reminiscent of old school, historical maps. With tones of browns and copper, the message this design conveys is still modern and inspiring to whoever buys or gives the card to someone.
The ship itself, based on drawings of a replica designed by naval architect William Baher from Hingham, MA in the 1950s, is not only a testament to the strength of human determination in the face of persecution, but also a symbol of religious freedom.
Occasions for the Mayflower Ship Card:
This design makes the perfect gift for your Thanksgiving host or hostess. However, it will be appreciated year-round by New Englanders, lovers of American history, and those with a fond appreciation of ships.
