Name & Title:
Jennifer Mai (aka Jam), Retail Designer

Describe what you do at Lovepop.
I currently design physical assets for both our Retail and Wholesale departments, which includes projects like fixture development, seasonal embellishments, and new location design. Sometimes I lend a hand in new product development as well.

What's the best thing about your job?
There's something quite magical in seeing my work translated from 2D to 3D in our physical locations!

Out of our 4 core values (engineering, hunger, magic, connection), which one describes you best and why?
I mention magic in the last question, but I would say engineering here. There's a lot of steps between design concepts to making a real, tangible thing in-stores.

What is your favorite Lovepop card?
I am a big fan of any bird cards. Party Parrot is a recent favorite.

If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
I would love to spend some time on the International Space Station.

What do you like doing outside of work?
My partner and I like to go on walks around the Boston Common with our pet bird Beans and pet cat Bisky (they each get their own backpack).

If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Soup is one of my top choices - it's a warm, wholesome, and easily shareable dish. Though, I don't think I'd ever get sick of sushi either.

What is your go-to karaoke song?
Karaoke is much more of a spectator-sport for me, but I do like upbeat funky music.

Is there anything else you'd like the world to know about you?
Please let me know if you'd like to go ice skating because I'm always looking for people to go with!
