Describe what you do at Lovepop.
My team manages enabling the technology and business processes to run our operations. We keep information moving and provide scalable structures for our order fulfillment and inventory management operations.
What's the best thing about your job?
The different teams of people I work with are awesome! I think we all share a love-hate relationship with problem solving. I do actually enjoy fixing things and when you combine that with really talented people it makes coming to work everyday super fun!
Out of our 4 core values (engineering, hunger, magic, connection), which one describes you best and why?
I'd say hunger because I'm passionate about making an impact on Lovepop's mission. We have such cool products and great opportunities which make it very rewarding to drive improvements or fix issues in support of our growth objectives.
What is your favorite Lovepop card?
Olive Tree...it's the first Lovepop card I was ever given!
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
Internally, I'd love to try assembling our cards with a team in Vietnam. I've tried to take some apart and have discovered that putting them back together is not easy. Externally, I would be a boat captain on a luxury yacht, but not like Captain Lee.
What do you like doing outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with my family. We love the beach which is where we spend most of our summers and vacations. I used to coach my daughter's basketball team, but I was replaced by a professional middle school coach. Now we just shoot hoops in the driveway which in many ways is much more fun.
If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Pizza....no hesitation! And if you're wondering where to get the best pizza, it's Benny Tudino's in Hoboken, NJ.
What is your go-to karaoke song?
Can I go back to talking about basketball? :)
Is there anything else you'd like the world to know about you?
Someday I'd like to sail back across the Atlantic Ocean. Several years ago, I sailed from the Caribbean to the U.K. It may sound weird, but I still feel like I need to make the return trip.
