We are PSYCHED to announce Lovepop’s newest retail location is opening Labor Day weekend at City Point, a bustling foodie paradise in downtown Brooklyn.
Our 70-square-foot kiosk will carry over 70 of our awesome designs, ready for you to touch, open and close, and selfie with IRL. We used rustic wood and exposed metal finishes inspired by this super cool food hall and added elements from our Party Animals Land and a touch of rainbow because well… Lovepop!
We were excited about City Point before it was even built.
We heard about an awesome mixed-use property in the heart of Brooklyn while it was under construction and were immediately intrigued. Once it opened, we visited and fell in love. It's an inclusive, unique, and vibrant place.
The concept fits with the growing trends in retail to create shopping destinations that are convenient and experiential. City Point is a place you can go to eat, shop, and have fun. It has apartments and offices — it is not just a mall.
It's big tenants — Target, Trader Joes, Century 21, and the very cool cinema, Alamo Drafthouse — bring in a wide variety of Brooklyn residents from all walks of life. While their Prince Street Passage brings new, exciting shops to the area: Flying Tiger, Little Giants Giant Shorties, and Joybird, and a couple brands making their U.S. debuts, like Rain Africa and At Your Beat.
Finally, the food hall…. oh, Dekalb Market Hall. (Drools.) Dekalb brings in people looking for delicious eats throughout the day. It has everything you might ever want to eat. But more on that below.
The combination of all these things brings in a wonderful variety of people who are looking for something magical and unique. AKA: All that = Lovepop.
HEY NEIGHBORS!
We love our new neighborhood and there are endless reasons why we decided to pick City Point as the latest addition in New York. Here are three of our retail business development manager, Micajah’s, favorites:
Daigo Hand Roll Bar is the love of my life. A Japanese chef making delicious hand rolls to order and handing them to you across the counter, with a little sake to wash it down. How could you go wrong?
Ample Hills Creamery is unreal. It's a local creamery that started right there in Brooklyn. They create their playful flavors (like Ooey Gooey Butter Cake 🤤🍰) using hormone-free milk from grass-fed cows.
Little Giants | Giant Shorties. Walking by their store and seeing the tagline "Better goods for dope kids" always makes me happy. They also have a projector that has cool graphics of things hopping from fixture to fixture on their walls. It’s just a bundle of joy.
